Who is masseter botox for?

Masseter botox is suitable for those who want to improve the following:

  • Patients with strong masseter muscles, often tend to complain of pain and discomfort of the jaw which can be due to teeth grinding. By injecting botox into this muscle, it helps to weaken the muscle and really benefit patients who have been struggling with pain in this area.
  • For patients, particularly females who have strong masseter muscles, they often dislike the ‘bulky’ appearance of their jawline. By injecting botox in this area, it again reduces the harshness of the muscle, creating a slimmer appearance of the jaw.

What to expect from masseter botox

  • After a consultation, which includes photography and consent, the treatment area is cleaned.
  • Using a microneedle, we will inject into the specific areas of the face. The use of the microneedle makes the treatment very comfortable.
  • You can expect to see results between 1-2 weeks after treatment.
  • There are minimal risks to the treatment and no downtime. You will receive an information leaflet outlining what to do for the first 24 hours after treatment to ensure you receive the best results.
  • Results last around 3 to 4 months and we recommend that patients who wish to prevent the formation of these fine lines, come back regularly to maximise treatment outcomes.
